We all know the earth is round right? At least most of us do. And we know the atmosphere surrounding our planet is curved like the cover on a baseball. About this time of year, on a crystal clear night, as the sun drops below the horizon, one can perceive the curvature by viewing the gradient of light on the horizon from golden yellow to blue to the black of the night’s sky. Some sunsets are just more memorable than others.
